Grapevine 'Superior Seedless'

Vitis vinifera L. ‘Superior Seedless’

Superior Seedless is one of the most commercial early whites: seedless, light-green berries with a neutral to lightly aromatic flavour, ready very early in the season. It is highly vigorous and sets nothing on its basal buds, so it wants long pruning and careful crop management — it works both on a wide-spaced pergola and on vertical trellising. In wet years, watch for powdery mildew. A Californian variety out of Cardinal; VIVC files it under the prime name Sugraone, no. 12087.
